Art Athina’s reminder to the venue’s athletic past: A floor reminiscent of gym class and superhuman athletes, the center of Art Athina 2017 brings us to the color-palette of physical exertion memories, while deliberately stable elements mark stops of rest rather than sports. Vinyl flooring is scattered with opportunities to sit and repose, a slowed-down take on elements of exercise.

Mixed Marble, Metal Pin

Ultra-thin marble is cut and assembled in different shades for a square colorful marble brooch.

This brooch shows the flag of the proud citizens of marble, a place characterized by force and stasis alike. Citizens of marble understand the importance of tolerance: for no piece is alike, for we are united in difference, for we are cut from the same stone. Uniformity is denied by nature, the compositions carved render a different flag every time.
