Purble Nebula

Exclusively for sale with Nilufar Gallery.

Purple, a color rarely found in natural formations on our planet, is abundant in the ethereal nebulas of outer space. These cosmic phenomena are structures originating from the supernova explosions of massive stars, revealing an array of different hues. This series of pieces is inspired by the X-ray images gathered by NASA’s repository of celestial phenomena.

Purble Nebula

The collection of this material was the starting point in reimagining the idea of a dining area as a monochromatic sanctuary. In this space of communion and gathering, subtle hints of purple draw the eye inward, fostering a heightened sense of focus. Semi-transparent curtains and a carpet define a circular expanse, creating a secluded space reminiscent of the nebula’s expansive yet intimate swirling mass. Visitors are invited to delve into an exploration of visual and tactile textures, materiality, color, and varying levels of transparency.
