For Collective Design, OBJECTS OF COMMON INTEREST created the VIP lounge using custom glass blocks elements to transform the lounge into a textural and abstract still life installation. Clusters of floating islands: Formations of glass brick furniture are scattered in space to form seating arrangements on hard surface carpets, cut-in-shapes acrylic surfaces in warm, earthy color tones and textures. A white wide-meshed net spanned around the area creates a whimsical boundary separating the fair grounds from the lounge area, revealing glimpses of the interior at close distance and rendering the installation space in a transparent white overlay.
