The Breeder is pleased to present Objects of Common Interest with a new series titled VOIDS. The first piece, a chair.
This series of resin works is created by filling the void of a composition, a process known in traditional casting as the “mold.”
Each work is conceived as a series of gestures, manipulating a basic construction material resulting in a unique each time piece. The “mold” is the negative space for the object that will come to life and is a conceptual narrative through a series of instructions-based manipulations.
Series 1 picks reference from a prominent image of the Athenian urban landscape, the corrugated steel sheets and a canvas for creative expression in the urban realm, turning a mundane material into a new medium.
