Reflections of Now, presented at Alcova Miami, explores memory as a fluid and shifting condition, where clarity and distortion coexist. Inspired by the visual effect of a kaleidoscope, the installation unfolds through an arrangement of semi-transparent, colored resin objects that transform with changes in light and perspective.
The pieces resemble prismatic forms, capturing the way memories exist as layered fragments, at once vivid and blurred. Through the use of resin, light is diffused and refracted, producing a continuous interplay of color, depth, and texture. These subtle variations create an environment that evolves with the viewer’s movement, emphasizing perception as something unstable and constantly in flux.
Drawing from the crystal aesthetics of the 1960s, the work reflects an ongoing interest in material exploration and optical effects. Each object carries a distinct chromatic presence, while collectively forming a landscape of reflections that shifts over time. The installation becomes a meditation on memory, where past and present merge into a continuous, luminous field.
