Threshold

Threshold explores how the most minimal gesture can become architecture. Developed in collaboration with DOOOR for Alcova Milan 2026, the installation is composed of repeated divider elements that construct layered, permeable spaces shaped by light, contrast, and spatial rhythm. Rather than enclosing, these thin thresholds gently define space, allowing presence and absence to coexist.

Set within the industrial atmosphere of the Baggio Military Hospital, the work creates a suspended interior rendered in luminous white, a quiet field detached from its darker surroundings. Through repetition, transparency, and stillness, Threshold proposes an architecture that emerges not from mass or permanence, but from separation, softness, and the subtle choreography of the body within space.
