Chronos

Chronos, presented during Design Miami and curated by Mr. Lawrence, is an installation exploring time as a perceptual experience rather than a fixed measure. Drawing from early Greek philosophy, where Chronos was understood as an illusion, the work unfolds through light, movement, and interaction, inviting a heightened awareness of the present moment.

A freestanding mirror, positioned as a totem, is surrounded by three sculptural floor lamps, forming an abstract landscape. The elements are crafted from a custom opalescent acrylic that subtly shifts in color as it interacts with light and its surroundings. Additional objects, both functional and sculptural, contribute to a fluid spatial composition.

The environment is fully enveloped in translucent draped surfaces, gently set in motion by air, creating a continuous yet almost imperceptible transformation. As visitors move through the space, reflections multiply, colors shift, and light refracts, activating the installation and revealing time through motion and perception.
