Poikilos New Forms of Iridescence is an exhibition exploring iridescence as a dynamic and ever-changing visual phenomenon. Curated by Studio Vedèt and presented at Nilufar-Viale Lancetti Venue, the show takes its title from the ancient Greek word poikilos, used to describe shifting, mottled, and iridescent surfaces found in nature, often associated with movement and transformation.

The exhibition brings together a series of resin works, including seats, tables, lamps, and vessels, where color and light are embedded within the material itself. Developed through an ongoing research into resin and its possibilities, the pieces are produced using a specialized casting process that allows iridescence to exist within the mass of the material rather than as a surface treatment. Each object is then hand-finished, creating subtle variations and enhancing its optical depth.

This approach allows for a continuous interplay between liquid and solid states, where forms appear to be in transition. The works shift visually depending on light conditions, the viewer’s position, and time, reinforcing the idea of iridescence as something unstable and alive.

Installed within the atrium of Nilufar Depot, the exhibition unfolds as a luminous environment where objects seem to vibrate and transform, echoing the restless, living quality embedded in the notion of poikilos.
